Welcome from Head of Schools
Mr.Alan

I would like to offer you all a warm welcome and thank you for visiting our webpage and I hope that we all can work together to fulfill our vision to nurture an interest in learning with our students and to extend their skills to understand reason and to achieve academic excellence. Here at Pride ISM we know the importance of achieving success in their academic learning but know it is our duty to ensure that all children develop their skills and attitudes to become lifelong learners and to provide them with opportunities to challenge their learning and that of others to become confident, independent and creative members of our society. After all, our students today will be the leaders of tomorrow both in Myanmar and the rest of the World.
On a personal note I would like to introduce myself to you all. I joined Pride ISM in July 2016. I am not new to South East Asia as I arrived here in August 1993 after teaching in England and Wales. I have taught and held positions of responsibility in British Curriculum International Schools in Thailand, Malaysia, Ecuador and Myanmar. So I have had vast experience in the British Curriculum.
Although I am British I feel at home in South East Asia. My home is here and I love the friendliness, honesty and the culture of Myanmar. I aim to be here for a long time and be a guide to help making Pride ISM a school of excellence and one that will be held in high esteem on the International stage.
I am a strong believer in the education of children being a three way process; teachers, students and parents. To develop this objective, I am always open to any form of discussion with parents, staff and students to improve the school and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I am also a strong advocate of teaching the whole child, that does not only focus on the academic side but also the personal and social development. That is why our mission statement is so important to me personally and all our management team. I hope to meet and communicate with you all in the near future.
