House News
  • In much the same way that PISM functions as a large, extended family, our House System sees teachers and students from all year groups integrated into four distinct Houses. These Houses are primarily a way for us to celebrate achievement, whilst allowing students to bond and compete over personal, academic and sporting accomplishments.
  • Our Houses are named after four mythical birds: the lion-headed eagle, Anzu, the majestic Griffin, the winged stallion, Pegasus and the immortal Phoenix. All students and teachers are assigned to one of these Houses when they enroll at our school.
  • Students compete for House Points throughout the academic year. House Points are earned in and outside of lessons for acts of good character, conscientiousness, impressive effort and sporting excellence. Students are regularly updated on their collective house scores and individual house point prizes are also awarded. At the end of the year, the points earned by each House are calculated and the overall winner of the House Cup is announced on Prize Giving Day.
  • We credit our House System for providing a means of motivation, belonging and healthy competition amongst our students. It fosters a culture of personal and academic responsibility, not only for themselves but for their school community.
